The old panel machine was a large, very slow, high energy user that produced only a few panels per day. Large scale production using this machine was impossible. The pre-machine and post-machine support elements were also slow, high energy users that wasted resources, and were not that environmentally friendly. In addition, the old panel machine produced only one size panel.
The SGBS Technology Team reviewed the concept behind the old panel machine and all of its support components and determined that redesigning with all new modern technology components would allow for a tremendous increase in production capacity, as well as provide for a better overall panel that would meet existing and emerging building requirements. It also allows us to produce various sizes of panels, to meet the entire building industry requirements. With a few minor changes, this machine can also produce many other building components currently using wood.
The team totally revamped the raw material storage facilities, as well as provided for a safer handling of non-toxic chemicals required to produce a fire, mold, mildew and insect resistant panel, that is also stronger than the previous versions.
A completely different machining process was developed using modern extrusion technology, combined with some other existing technology currently being used in the manufacturing industry. This new machine allows for a more steady production of panels, and also allows for increased production capacity, many times that over the old machine.
The supporting elements from the output of the new machine to the modern loading area were also updated using modern computer controlled technological components. This allows each line to run at a pace required to meet production goals and not interfere with any other line.
This new system, uses only “environmentally friendly raw materials, low energy use machines and is controlled by computers to maintain an energy efficient, un-interrupted production flow.
A small scale proto-type machine was built and tested very successfully using the same production concepts that will be used on a normal production line. As we move forward with the final design, construction and tweaking of this new panel machine, SGBS will patent the machine and all supporting elements that makes this a very unique system.
